The event began with a presentation of the Chapter by the board of members chaired by Ignacio Macías, who was supported by the vice-president, Elisa Villar, and Ignacio Gil, both former MBA students at the IE Business School. “The mission of Beta Gamma Sigma in Spain is to en
courage academic achievement in the study of business administration, encouraging personal and professional growth through the generation of events and networking among its members and the main companies present in Spain”, said before introducing Mr. Carlos de Torres Gimeno.
The presentation of the General Manager of the OEM Division of Microsoft in Spain was focused on the strategic decisions of the company over the past 10 years and the results they have had transforming the leader company in the IT sector. De Torres, noted as a key aspect for success one of the values it shares with Beta Gamma Sigma: “The commitment to develop the talent of the people”.
Over 50 alumni attended to the first act of BGS in Spain, including several entrepreneurs of prestige, and over 30 companies were represented. The association already plans their next event, which will take place in Barcelona in January 2,012.
